About Fixato

Q. How long have you been dj'ing ?
A. Well, about 1 and a half to 2 years. First as a co-host on a local webstation, then airing some private stuff on my DSL-account. About half a year ago I tried a daily show on it for the chatserver I operate on, together with The Jay, though due to lack of resources and too little upstream-bandwidth, that project failed. I usually use either FooBar or WinAmp, but I am also trying out several other standalone programs, but none of them really worked out for me.

Q. What style music do you play ?
A. I myself have quite a broad taste of music, from techno to classical songs, from fairy rock to grunting heavy metal, from Rock&Roll to Pop, etc. But the stuff I usually play when on air is Gothic or Progressive Rock, Metal, Cyber, Speedrock, Soothing, or meditational vibes. Or whatever the listeners request, as long as it is not too different from what I am playing right then.

Q. Likes and dislikes ?
A. Like hanging out with friends, popping in a DVD, doing some cooking, taking a bike-ride or just a stroll into the woods or other nature-resort and take pictures of nature's majestic facets.
Dislike dishonesty being the biggest dislike, but also people who follow the masses and by doing that, discard the true person they are inside. Dislike of music? Heavy metal or Death Metal with a lack of melody.. Just useless grunting.. Furthermore: RnB, commercial pop, too repetitive trance..

Q. Favourite tunes/artists/producers ?
A. A personal favourite for this moment, a classic by Oasis: Wonderwall. All time favourite? hmm that's a tough one.. I would say the German Rammstein with Engel, or some Dutch songs by Blof and Acda & De Munnik. On the meditational side, there is no doubt about it: Enigma with Principles of Lust. On the Trance/Dance side: DJ Paul Elstak: Rainbow high in the Sky, mostly oldskool stuff or DDR Remixes..
